Classrooms

The Hiranandani Foundation School takes immense pride in its spacious construction that provides well-ventilated classrooms and an infrastructure that makes the teaching learning process stress-free and comfortable.

The long sliding windows provide proper ventilation and the bright sunlight naturally keeps the room radiant, germ-free and energised all through the day.

The whiteboards installed in the classes are proof that education has now become versatile and interactive. The fans and the white lights provide added comfort to the students and children enjoy sitting on the wide benches that are attached to the tables. The class cupboard stores the extra notebooks, making the children's school bags lighter.

Sports Facilities

Standing true to the school's motto of Men’s Sana in Corpore Sano, the school has made provision for different sports activities like Football, Gymnastics, Athletics, Cricket, Table tennis, Chess, Basketball and Swimming. These sports activities not only promote a healthy lifestyle but also help students to discover their hidden talent. The football turf, the well-equipped gymnastic area and the indoor and outdoor courts provide space for regular practice and competitions. Modern equipment’s and qualified coaches ensure that the students learn each sport with proper technique. Regular school competitions keep the students motivated and help in teaching them discipline and perseverance. Every student is given the liberty and the opportunity to explore his/her talent.

Needless to say, the young Rudrankksh Patil, who won the World Championship in rifle shooting and an Olympic quota, is an alumnus of the Hiranandani Foundation School, Thane.

Science Labs

The school houses six fully equipped science laboratories, with two labs each for Physics, Chemistry and Biology, designed separately for ICSE and ISC students. Each lab adheres to the highest safety standards and is equipped with modern apparatus, creating an engaging and exploratory environment for scientific learning. Teachers are supported by trained lab assistants who facilitate demonstrations and hands on experiments. These advanced facilities allow students to apply theoretical knowledge in real world settings, nurturing their curiosity, confidence and scientific thinking.

The Art Room

The Art room is designed to make the teaching – learning process smooth, engaging and effective by providing the students with a well-equipped environment for artistic exploration. The art room is well lit, spacious and meticulously maintained where students work comfortably on individual and collaborative projects. Guided by a highly qualified staff from top Art colleges, the students showcase and celebrate their art skills through numerous exhibitions conducted throughout the year.

The Music and Dance Room

The dance room is a well-equipped space where movements become magic and heartbeats find rhythm. It is a room with mirrors which play the role of silent mentors to the students to gain confidence with every step they take with grace and grit. They learn different dance forms whether it is hip-hop, Bollywood, folk, classical, contemporary or international styles. The skills acquired in this room finds expression through various co-curricular activities as well as numerous inter-school events throughout the year.

The music room too is well endowed with all kinds of musical instruments from drums, keyboards, saxophones, trumpets, bongo etc. The students learn to sing Hindi as well as English songs with the help of audio-visual aids. They also learn to play music using all sorts of instruments. Training of school marching band takes place in this room after school hours. Music Fests and various intra and inter-school competitions provide the students with ample occasions for exposure of their skills acquired in this room.

The Library

It is located on the 3rd floor and has two sections, one for the primary and the other for the secondary school. It is a very well-equipped library with around 12500 books which are catalogued as per Dewey Decimal Classification. It contains books of all genres from subject specific books to reference, encyclopaedia dictionary, yearbooks, magazines, thesaurus as well as fiction and non-fiction. Grade 1 to 8 students have regular library period where reading is encouraged by writing reviews of books read and presenting them before the class.

Computer Labs

HFS has three fully functional computer labs equipped with the latest computers, high speed internet and essential software required for digital learning. All labs are regularly monitored and maintained to prevent interruptions during classes or practical sessions. Under the guidance of skilled teachers, students develop strong computational and technological skills. These labs play a vital role in enhancing digital literacy, creativity and problem-solving abilities, effectively preparing learners for the demands of the digital world.

Assembly Hall

The school’s high tech assembly hall is an elegant and modern space equipped with an advanced audio-visual system to host a variety of events. It is meticulously maintained, offering a comfortable and inspiring environment for assemblies, talent shows, workshops and celebrations. Its spacious design and updated technology ensure the smooth and successful conduct of every program. Safety and Security

Cafeteria

The school has a clean and spacious cafeteria. The wholesome food is a perfect blend of rich flavours and healthy options. The Manchurian rice is a top favourite among the students and the long queues speak volumes about the taste.

  • The idly chutney, vegetable rolls and sandwiches are the other nourishing options provided by the cafeteria.
  • The cafeteria doesn’t serve aerated drinks and opts for healthier options like buttermilk and flavoured milk.
  • The children look forward to their breaks as the cafeteria indulges them with a menu that is both appetising and healthy.

School Bus

The school transport facility is managed by private bus operators who function strictly according to the safety and security guidelines laid down by the school. Every bus undergoes daily checks and maintenance to ensure a safe and comfortable journey for students. Experienced and trained drivers, along with diligent attendants, maintain discipline and ensure that all safety protocols are followed. This reliable service ensures convenient and comfortable travel for all students.

In House Counsellor

There are 2 in house counsellors in the school, one for the Primary section and another for the Secondary section. These are trained professionals and students are encouraged to seek their guidance if they face any difficulty. However, the school follows a detailed procedure in assessing or monitoring children to identify any behavioural difficulty. The entire process of counselling works in a constructive manner where the child, his/her parents and the school authorities are actively involved. At the same time all security protocols are always maintained ensuring complete confidentiality.

CCTV Security

Installation of the CCTV security system is one of best security system that the school is equipped with today. It not only ensures that every corner of the premise is monitored but also helps to bring down the possibility of any mishaps, providing a sense of overall security. The footages are constantly monitored, throughout the day, by trained professionals who report to the authorities. They are accessible by the other staffs too but a strict protocol is maintained.

AV Room

The A.V. room is located in the second floor. It is utilized for visual screenings during preparations of important events like the annual concert. It is also used as a venue for M.R. Pai competition which is a joint enterprise of the school and M.R. Pai Foundation to provide opportunities to the school students to cultivate critical thinking and develop skill of public speaking. Here important meetings are also conducted by the head of the institution with the help of the audio-visual aids.

Trips & Experiential Learning

HFS Throwball

Travel and Camps

One Day Trips: The School conducts one day trips every year to Amusement Parks for students from grade V to grade XII. The classes are clubbed together based on the number of students and are accompanied by sufficient members of the staff. The students are provided with sumptuous food, water and utmost care is taken about their safety.

Domestic Trips: The school also conducts 2 domestic trips to different locales every year. These are places of historical importance and the main purpose of visiting these sites are to make the students aware of the rich heritage and cultural significance of our country. These trips are fun filled where children travel in luxury and are put up in either four- star or three-star hotels. In addition to sight-seeing, these trips also help children bond with their fellow mates, teaching them important life lessons.

Monsoon Trek: There is a Monsoon Trek conducted every year for students from grades V to X. These are supervised by the PE staff along with trained professionals which help students gather an exciting experience along nature trails.

Field Trips

The newly elected Students Council is sent every year for a leadership Program. This is a 2 to 3 days residential program where the students are exposed to different types of activities through which each one learns to identify their strengths and gets an opportunity to work on their weaknesses, if any.

At the end of this program, each of the members emerge as strong leaders with an enriching experience and hands-on training on real life situations. This enables the school to have an experienced team of young leaders with them.
